Robot Kits

Robot Kits allow beginners to jump right into the sport with little or no actual robot-building. This is a good and bad thing- it creates a pool of new builders, but at the same time generally reduces the competency of those builders, as most of the design and physical building of the bots is done for them.
Another aspect of these kits is that some of them are "roll your own"- they allow a builder freedom in design, and just provide a set of materials and fastening techniques, like rolling thunder's nutstrips or team think tank's carbon fiber rod system. Another strategy is to sell the kits as "weapon platforms", as with some of the BattleKits and Inertia Labs kits.
