Razer

From Combat Robot

Razer was a heavyweight hydraulic crushing/piercing combat robot from the UK Robot Wars. It overcame chronic mechanical problems in its first three years to become champion of the Fifth Wars and won the first two Robot Wars World Championships.

Razer was a roughly wedge-shaped robot with a powerful hydraulic weapon, looking somewhat like a scorpion's tail. This weapon, was able to penetrate the armor of opponents and damage their internal components. In Series 3, two "wings" were added to the side of the crushing arm to serve as a self-righting mechanism (SRiMech).

Razer was created by Simon Scott (the team captain), Ian Lewis and Vincent Blood, from Bournemouth, England.

Razer is an inaugural member of The Combat Robot Hall of Fame.
