Firestorm

From Combat Robot

There were five robots in the Firestorm series, which competed in UK Robot Wars series 3 through 7. The design of the robot was a wedge driven by two wheels in the base of the rear. The weapon was a reverse-flipper, hinged at the front and pushing up and forward. Steering was via a unique active differential, using one large motor for propulsion and a smaller second motor for differential steering.

A consistant competitor, Firestorm finished 3rd in Series 3 (FireStorm), 5 (FireStorm 3) and 6 (FireStorm 4). They also won the Commonwealth championship, toppling House Robot Mr. Psycho along the way.
