CAD files useful to robot builders are 3D models of parts that can be used in CAD software to aid in the design process.

Many builders have put their CAD files of common parts on their websites:

• Berserk Robotics - Many sublight/antweight parts in SLDPRT, IGES, and STEP formats.
• Team Rolling Thunder - Lots of parts for larger weight classes in SLDPRT and IGES format. Also includes great sprocket and gear models.
