101 was a tracked invertible UK Robot Wars competitor. Its builders claimed it cost only 'a penny and a pound' (£1.01) to put together, hence its name. The weapon system was comprised of a CO2-powered spike which fired automatically when a target came into range. The control system was also fitted with a sensor to reverse the steering and direction if the robot was inverted. It competed in Robot Wars Series 3 thru 5.
